Lost School Uniform Items!

Could all parents please check school uniform items at home over the next few days? There are several children who are still missing blazers, jumpers and other items of clothing and it is possible that children may have taken the wrong items home by mistake. If you discover an item of clothing with another child's name on, could you please return this to the school office so that it can be returned to the correct owner?

Please note that the school shop will not be open during the Easter Holiday period.

Forthcoming Events

Wednesday, 13th April - Year 4 visit to Washington Old Hall

Thursday, 14th April - Pupil Term Ends.

Friday, 15th April - Staff Development Day

Tuesday, 3rd May - Pupils Return in summer uniform

Please note that term ends on Thursday next week and not the Friday!

Under 11 Football Tournament

Last week the U11s played in a football tournament held at Bow School. The team played four games that took them to the Plate semi-final. Despite losing the first game 2-0 to Cundall we drew 0-0 for the next two games against Barnard Castle and Bow A-Team followed by a 1-0 win over Sedbergh. Highlight of the tournament was the 0-0 draw against Bow A who won the overall competition. We were the only team undefeated by them. Unfortunately, we lost the semi final on cone goal-kicks on the third attempt but our heads remained high. The team was Robbie F, Marc, Robbie P, BJ, Michael, Amir, Gabriel, Sam, Felix and Joshpal

Wedding Of The Year!

On Monday we witnessed the nursery wedding held at St. John's Church conducted by the Revd Derek Aldridge as children begin to celebrate and understand the significance of the forthcoming Royal Wedding. Mollie and James were the delightful couple who were collected and taken to the church in a limo. Revd Derek then performed the ceremony supported by Mrs Kharko who sang such a delightful song and Reception class who narrated a poem. This was followed by a photo opportunity for the many parents who attended this wonderful occasion. The wedding breakfast consisted of sandwiches, chicken nuggets and various snacks. Mollie and James then cut the wedding cakes that had been kindly made by our nursery parents. A massive ‘thank you' to all the parents who helped to make this such a brilliant event, to Mr Badcock for providing the limo, the children who carried out their roles with such professionalism and to the EYFS staff for their boundless time and energy. As for Mrs Fearon, well, this lady is a real gem - THANK YOU!
