Lunch Menu

Meals from Monday 11^th July will be menu number 1. The Junior Lunch Rota for this week will be Year 3 at 12.15, Year 4 at 12.25, Year 5 at 12.35 and Year 6 at 12.40.

After School Club

Could parents whose children use the after school club please note that the facility will NOT be available on Thursday 14^th July. All other days will be as expected up until Wednesday 13^th.

Our new term begins on Wednesday 7^th September for all children at Junior School.

Last Day of Term

As you will already be aware, our final day of term is Thursday 14^th July. We would like to suggest that if parents wish, then children from Nursery to Year 2 could be collected from 11.45am. Children from Years 3 to Year 6 could be collected from 12 noon. This would avoid too many parents struggling with parking issues.

Please note that there will be no after school activities or after school clubs running on this day.

Uniform Shop Summer Opening Times

Please note that the school shop will only be open on the following days between 10am and 3pm only during the summer holidays:

Parents' Evening

A reminder that our final Parents' Evening of this academic year takes place on Monday 11^th July from 3.45pm. Teachers of Years 3 to 6 will be located in the dining hall with the exception of Mrs Summers and Mrs Dixon who will be in the music room. Could parents of junior children please take an appropriate seat and move forward when possible. Infant class teachers will be in their classrooms. Could parents of infant children please try to keep to their appointed time / day? All parents should aim to keep discussions to 10 minutes in order to be considerate to other parents in the queues.

Academic Year 2011/12

From September 2011 and in line with existing Senior School procedures, the Junior school will also finish at 12 noon on the last day of each term. As with previous ‘last days' there will be no after school clubs held on any of these dates.

Junior School Speech Day

Many thanks to all the parents and grandparents who attended Junior School Speech Day yesterday - it was a lovely occasion and a joy to see so many children collecting prizes. Thank you also to Rev Canon Stephen Taylor, MBE who presented the prizes and gave us an illuminating talk about ‘Time'. We wish Stephen every success in his new role of Arch Deacon in Kent from September. He will be a huge miss to Sunderland High School.

Baseball Friendly Game

On Wednesday 13^th July we welcome Academy 360 to our school to take part in a friendly game of baseball with us from 4pm until 5pm. Don't forget that Steve Huntley has organised two terrific events that will take place over the summer holidays. The first is an American Sports Camp that will run 15^th to 19^th August. The second is a Multi Sports Camp that will run from 22^nd to 26^th August.
