News from the Karate Class

Dear Parents,

Mrs. Tombs who delivers the karate class would like to extend lessons to junior school parents:-

''For some time now, several Mum's have expressed a wish to learn some karate/self defence.  As at the moment, the class is small and we have the space, this is an ideal opportunity to give this a try.

For 30 years, I have taught many classes of school children and mixed adult, children/family groups.  As a family sport, Martial Arts is and ideal activity, something everyone can enjoy together in a very structured way - take it home and practice together!  It's fun yet disciplined, promotes mutual respect, etiquette and harmony.  Something great to do together instead of the XBox or playstation!  Apart from the obvious fitness benefits, the self defence aspects are a truly priceless asset - boosting self confidence and awareness, a massive incentive in these times.

I would like to invite parents who already have a child in the class or who has a child who may be a little shy and need to be accompanied, even if it's just for the first term, you will thrive!

Fees for a parent/child pair will be discounted to just fifty pounds (a twenty pounds saving) per term.  Please come along next Monday for a complementary lesson, no obligation, then enrol if you like it.

Parents, please come already to go, comfortable clothing and trainers are all you need, same rules of health, safety and security and supervisory conditions apply.

Do come and give it a try, support you children in something with probably life long benefits (you don't forget these lessons), many rewards and the potential to enjoy.

Monday - 3.30 - 4.45 p.m. Dining Room".

Yours sincerely

Rosanne Tombs
