Sunderland High School is an independent, co-educational, non-denominational day school located in Sunderland.

The school was founded by the Seventh Day Adventist Church in 1908 as the Sunderland Seventh Day Adventist Academy.

In 1978 it became a secondary school and gradually changed its name to Sunderland Academy. In 2010 it was renamed again to become Sunderland High School.

It has been fully refurbished twice since 2001 and with modern facilities now offers many different curricular opportunities for students including: student voice, digital make up classes, vocational learning opportunities and more.
